Who knew cooking was so gripping! Well that my friends is just what happened in Shokugeki no Soma. Shokugeki no soma or Food Wars (and no they have anything in common to your cafeteria food fights). In Shokugeki we follow the life of Yukihira Soma son of Joichiro Yukihira, who happens to own a diner. He joins one of the best culinary schools in Japan (Not your everyday Hogwarts) . To exist in this school, one has to be the best or get expelled. But there is a fact that there is not a single class lecture being conducted. Yes, this school is prestigious and the talent inherent in an individual will be expressed in the training camps conducted( I guess so). A good news for all anime fans, Shokugeki now has two seasons of anime with the next season right round the corner. We may all think its something which is not up to standard of epic manga series.
